To be honest I’ve never liked the dancing bears, something about their beady eyes and open mouths, they belong on the island of misfit mascots from South Park. Despite my negativity towards the bears seeing my bear avatar dressed in a furry vest and sunglasses running through a sky of endless tie-dye at my command is surprisingly fun.

Half brain dead from too many whippets or tripping your face off? That’s fine, this game can be played in practically any state, in fact you’ll enjoy it even more!

When you get sick of playing with your bear you can vote for your favorite “most epic” Grateful Dead show. I think that they should have an area where you can duel it out with other bears for your choice of “most epic” show, but that would be against the love I suppose.

Three Women Artists Join Forces to Create a
Music, Dance and Live Painting Experience
Unlike anything you’ve ever seen!

Ser la Muse means “being the Muse” — a statement of artistic empowerment. Dancer Krysta Cook, Singer Stephanie Salva and Live Painter Michelle Carnes… debut their live music, dance and painting affair on April 27th at the Hopmonk Tavern in Sebastopol, CA. Show time begins at 9 p.m., partial proceeds from ticket sales will benefit a local women’s health center and include entry in a raffle that could have someone in the audience taking home a small art treasure.

Come watch, dance and be entertained as these artists blend funky gypsy soul, hip shake belly hop and cadmium splattered canvas lust. Krysta, Stephanie and Michelle share their bohemian bag of tricks with an A-list of West County guest artists including Stanley Mouse and Heather Caulfield and a hand-picked dream team of Bay Area musicians touting everything from stand-up base and horns to ukuleles.

This is the show to see, except no imitations!

Pork Magazine did an interview last month with Stanley, the latest issue of the magazine is out now. I really like the theme and layout of Pork, they feature weirdo art and aren’t afraid to let things be strange. I don’t read many magazines and my initial though of most of them is that the content inside is often very lackluster in comparison to the taglines on the cover. Pork is a different class of magazine that is more like a zine that hasn’t lost its soul yet.

Moon­al­ice is a band that com­mis­sions a poster for every gig and gives them away for free. Since the band’s for­ma­tion in 2007, Moon­al­ice has pro­duced a unique series of over 450 orig­i­nal gig posters with art­work from over 20 artists.

Moon­al­ice posters fea­ture art­work from many of the leg­endary poster artists of the psy­che­delic 60’s as well as today’s top rock poster artists. Moon­al­ice is a band that lets poster artists do what they do best — make art! Unen­cum­bered by stan­dard con­straints, Moon­al­ice posters are as diverse as the artists who cre­ate them.

On Sun­day, April 8, 2012, Moon­al­ice proudly presents a con­cert and poster show at the Brook­lyn Bowl. The full series of Moon­al­ice posters will be on dis­play and avail­able for pur­chase at this first ever East Coast event. Many Moon­al­ice poster artists will be attend­ing the event in-person. The poster show opens at 4:20 pm, Moonalice’s con­cert will fol­low the poster show in the evening.
